Hellmann-PKZ, s.r.o. - brief history of the company
The freight forwarding company "Petr Klenka, zasilatelství"(PKZ) was established on January 1st, 1991. Its main activity focuses on road transports (full-loads, partial-loads and special transports).
Since May 1992 PKZ has been specializing in groupage shipments (LTL) within our own European network.
By the end of 1993 PKZ became a partner of the international freight forwarding network "Hellmann Worldwide Logistics," exclusive to the Czech and Slovak Republics. In co-operation with other network partners, transports of airfreight and seafreight consignments are being achieved.
In 1996 PKZ created the forwarding company PKZ Slovakia spol. s. r. o. with headquarters in Púchov and a branch in Bratislava.
On October 1st, 1997, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics took over a 50 % share of PKZ. The company was renamed "Hellmann-PKZ, s. r. o.," having now a broader foundation, and benefiting from the know-how and business contacts of the new shareholder. .
