ISO 9001 – Global Certification

In 2007, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Inc. was awarded a global based ISO 9001 certification effective for 1 year, with a recertification audit scheduled for the following year that would then be in place for three years.

The recertification audit was to be conducted at three locations worldwide. The entire Hellmann global certification was dependent on these three locations passing the ISO 9001 audit.

Hellmann Miami stood up to the challenge and responded perfectly and passed the ISO9001 audit.

In addition, Global Headquarters had requested in 2007 that we start the process to obtain ISO14001 certification for environmental compliance for the Miami and Headquarters facility. ISO 14001 is a very complex certification that touches every aspect of our facility from the excessive use of paper to proper handling of hazardous materials that touch our docks.

Our Miami location passed this critical audit as well, and after completing some requested document changes, will be awarded the ISO14001 certificate effective for 1 year. A second audit to be done next year will award Miami the continuous certification.

We expect that this certification will expand globally over the next several years in compliance with the Hellmanns global objective to “Think Green”.
