Management Trainee Program

Within the Management Trainee Program, participants will have the opportunity to obtain and develop deeper knowledge and experience within the international freight forwarding and logistics industry, in particular in the operations of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Inc. In addition to training in day-to-day business operations, participants will attend seminars and be trained in essential management & leadership skills.

The individuals eligible for the program must have graduated from college or university with a degree related to our industry, i.e. Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, etc.

Candidates should ideally have some experience in the transportation and logistics industry through previous internships or employment.

Trainees will be placed throughout the Hellmann USA organization upon completion of the traineeship. Participants are required to be flexible and willing to relocate at the end of the program.

24 months duration in which:

• 4 months will consist of a basic overview of the general operations in the branch and gaining general knowledge of all departments
• 2 months in various HQ departments to fully understand those key areas and interactions with the branches.
• 18 months will be focused on one specialized training area such as CLC, Imports, Domestic, Export, Special Accounts, Projects, etc.

During the 24 months, the participants will participate in 3 - 4 Training / Seminar sessions that will be held at Headquarters. Trainings such as:

1. Advanced Hellogic Training

2. Conflict Resolution

3. Dealing with Problem Employees/Dealing with Issues in a Branch

4. Advanced Communication Skills / Team Building / Motivation

5. Negotiation and Sales Techniques

6. Preparing, Analyzing, Controlling Budgets, P&L’s, Assets, ROI
