Academy is responsible for the human resources development of the employees of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. It supports the employees at all levels of the company with their specialist and non-specialist training so that they better cater to the continuously growing needs of our customers in everyday work and, ideally, are already proactively prepared for them.
The basis for human resources development at Hellmann forms the Hellmann skills model. This underlies the selection of new trainees and new employees, the performance reviews, the support programs as well as all seminars/workshops/coachings.
Academy works centrally, supervises the employees on-site at the workplace, if necessary, in order to give "on the job" feedback and tips, to complete any necessary training modules quickly and precisely in small groups on-location and to offer assistance with the implementation of the material learned.

Why is it important that our employees continually strengthen their specialist and non-specialist skills?

Here are several answers as examples: - It helps them personally and is not only useful for the company; because they reach their professional goals more quickly and/or can expand their area of responsibilities and duties or take over new duties
- They can answer the customers' questions better, confidently and securely when they keep their professional knowledge up to date - and they do not have to constantly ask fellow colleagues
- Even in stressful everyday work, they know with which tasks to begin, how to prioritize and keep a clear head
- During the next staff appraisal, they can discuss the areas in which things did not run so smoothly and therefore reach a constructive solution that is sustainable for both sides
- The next spreadsheet no longer takes 60 minutes, rather only 30.
- On the telephone, they can react to issues and even complaints from customers empathetically and convincingly
- They will be prepared for future managerial functions and are ready when the time comes
- They can assemble their projects in a more structured manner and therefore complete them more quickly and efficiently
- They get to know other colleagues and their areas of responsibility so that they know whom they should talk to the next time something goes beyond the scope of their area of responsibility.
- They master managerial methods so that they further develop and keep their co-workers overall motivated as well as purposely challenge and encourage their top performers and talents
